Stolen Logo

I came across the University of Dayton’s MyLife at UD site today and for some reason the little header icons they were using seemed very familiar. I could have sworn I had seen them before.

So, I went browsing to Dan Cederholm‘s website because it looked like something he would have made. I browsed through his portfolio and sure enough there it was. microformats

Gotta love stealing. Oh, and to make the matter worse, the website wasn’t designed by U of D staff; it was designed by a so-called professional company named beepix.

  1. I don’t see the image, It looks like they’ve removed it.

While were are on the subject, what do you think of microformats?

  2. It indeed looks like they removed them. They were being used for icons for the header. I probably should have done a screen capture. And I just did a Shift+Refresh, so I lost them.

I think microformats is a good idea. Most of what I have seen so far doesn’t seem to apply for me, but I have tried some of their stuff (like their vcard formatting).

  3. No problem, Ryan. I hate it when people do it to me. Just thought I’d spread around the love.

  4. Hey, even Beepix’s site looks familiar….hmmm…

I can’t find the site, but Beepix’s site is definetally a blatant rippoff. I’ll find that url.

  5. I don’t know if beepix has bookmarked this blog post, but they’ve slightly changed their page design now. It looks less like The Storytellers’ site. Thanks for catching that Zach.

  6. Well, they both look like hot peppers, but yes, the similarity ends there.
