Recently added files

I’ve been making some changes on our website that last few weeks to help improve the usability of our website and make information available in different ways.

Most recently, the feature I added scans a directory for files that have been uploaded in the last seven days. It then lists the filename, adds a link a corresponding profile page and states how long ago it was added.

It doesn’t look like much, but it’s pretty cool.

  1. A college site could be much more interseting. Your site is very busy with text. Need more images.

  2. Hmmm, Kim, let’s see. Your site is valid and uses CSS for layout: nothing wrong here. Whereas, Neil’s is invalid, missing alt, no page title (unless you call “Untitled Document” a page title).

I like the style/look and yes, there may not be many images but if the site/page doesn’t warrant it, leave them off and save the bandwidth.
