Error Messages

I registered a couple of domains with registerfly.com this week and went to change the DNS nameservers yesterday. For some unexplained reason, I kept getting an error that said the maximum number of connections had been exceeded. I have no idea what that meat.

This morning I decided to try again and was still getting this error. I then thought I should contact support to see what the problem is, so I clicked on the “24/7 Phone Support” link, and to my surprise, I saw the following note:

Due to upgrades you may not be able to update the DNS of [some domain] names. We expect the upgrade to be complete by Sunday 12/11.

Now why couldn’t they have said this in their error message instead of telling me that the maximum number of connections had been exceeded. Better yet, why not disable the ability to edit nameservers altogether and put in its place the above notice.

Why do things have to be so frustrating.
