A client came to me recent­ly ask­ing me to stitch some pho­tos togeth­er. The pho­tos end­ed up as two dif­fer­ent files. One was a panoram­ic view of a city sky­line at 28538×2039 pix­els. The oth­er was a view of some moun­tains at 5436×2410 pix­els. I burned them to CD for her.

The next day, she came back ask­ing me to com­press them or reduce their dimen­sions. I asked her why.

No one I took them to could print them.”

Who did you take them to?”

Wal­mart. Cost­co. …”

That’s because they aren’t print­ers. Try a print­er. Any print­er worth their weight can print these pho­tos.”
