Stump the Social Media Guy: Tip 2, Accountant/Bookkeeper

Last week, I started the Stump the Social Media Guy series.

I kicked things off with Stump the Social Media Guy: Tip 1, Hairstylists, using a tip that hair stylists might find handy in providing engagement with their clients.

I received a request from a good friend for this week’s post: bookkeeper/accountant.

One way for a bookkeeper/accountant to engage with their social media audience is to record weekly videos providing short tax tips.

Each week, record a 30–60-second video of yourself speaking about a single tax tip, then upload it to a video sharing site like YouTube or Vimeo, and share it on your social media networks. This will do several things to increase engagement:

  1. Small business owners will find the videos useful and share them with their SME friends
  2. Sharing them on your networks will extend the discussion as people ask for clarification or provide experiences
  3. Over time, it will establish you as an expert, keeping you front of mind when someone is looking for a bookkeeper/accountant

If you liked this tip, please share it with others. If you want your business to featured in the next instalment of Stump the Social Media Guy, post your business type and name in the comments below, on my Facebook page, on my Twitter feed, or send me an email.
