Stump the Social Media Guy: Tip 11, wedding photographer

Pro tip: If you’re a wedding photographer, create Pinterest boards of other photographers’ work.

The 11th post in the Stump the Social Media Guy series is for wedding photographers.

This one probably seems like a pretty easy one. After all, your business is photos; you have lots of content to share. It doesn’t take much searching wedding photographer pages on Facebook. That’s why I wanted to focus somewhere else: Pinterest.

Pinterest users love weddings. Naturally, creating a Pinterest board for your work would make sense. Don’t stop there: you also want to create boards of other photographers’ work. Create boards for wedding dresses, wedding locations, wedding party poses, centrepieces, tux ideas, bouquets, and so on.

This will drive traffic to your own work, but it will give you ideas for your work and set you apart as an expert.

If you liked this tip, please share it with others. If you want your business to featured in the next instalment of Stump the Social Media Guy, post your business type and name in the comments below, on my Facebook page, on my Twitter feed, or send me an email.
