How to change your Twitter username in 4 simple steps

I came across someone today who wanted to know how to change their Twitter username. It’s pretty simple, and here’s how to do it in just in 4 simple steps.

1. Click on settings

In the top right corner of the page, click on your avatar, then select “Settings” from the dropdown menu.

2. Go to to the Account tab

Down the left hand side of the page will be a list of tabs. Click on “Account”. It might already be selected.

3. Enter a new username

Look for the “Username” field at the top of the page. Type in a new username.

If you enter a username already in use, Twitter will tell you before you save your changes.

If you enter a username that isn’t in use, Twitter will tell you it’s available.

4. Click “Save changes”

All that’s left now is for you to save your changes by clicking on the blue button at the bottom of the screen.
