Tea is not defined by the LDS Church; its definition has been around for hundreds <span class=\"nfakPe\">of<\/span> years. See <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tea\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tea<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <span class=\"nfakPe\">Word<\/span> <span class=\"nfakPe\">of<\/span> <span class=\"nfakPe\">Wisdom<\/span> is not an eternal principle. It was never practiced in the Book <span class=\"nfakPe\">of<\/span> Mormon or the Bible peoples, and when it was issued in 1833, it was not issued as a commandment.<\/p>\n<p>Considering that yerba mat\u00e9 is not alcoholic and does not come from tobacco, coffee, or the tea plant, I do not see why it would be considered in violation <span class=\"nfakPe\">of<\/span> the <span class=\"nfakPe\">Word<\/span> <span class=\"nfakPe\">of<\/span> <span class=\"nfakPe\">Wisdom<\/span>, or any strict interpretation <span class=\"nfakPe\">of<\/span> it.
