Every so often, I come across (or receive a friend request from) someone on Google+, when it actuality, the someone is a business. I’m not sure why people keep doing this; Google+ has had business pages for nearly 2 years.
Regardless, since it seems to be something people don’t know, I thought I’d do a post on how to create a Google+ page.
1. Hover over the home button in the top left corner of the page.
2. Choose “Pages”.
3. Click on the “Create a page” button in the top right.
4. Pick a category.
5. Enter your name and business URL.
6. Choose a profile picture.
7. Choose a cover photo.
8. Fill out your Story and Contact Information sections.
9. Click finish.
That’s it. Your Google+ Business Page is finally up and running. You can probably make a few tweaks in your admin section, but it‘s ready to go.
Your next step is to just start posting content and tell others about it. Now, if you find yourself overwhelmed with lots of business and lacking time to devote resources to managing your page, feel free to drop me a line, and we can discuss how I can help you increase engagement on your Google+ page.
