My 10 most popular grammar posts (2019)

About 5.5 years ago, I made a list of my 10 most popular grammar posts. I’ve written hundreds more posts since then, a few of which have displaced some of the older ones. It made sense to update the list.

So here is the 2019 version of my 10 most popular grammar posts. The list is based on the most visited blog posts during May 2019.

  1. Difference between sitting and seating
  2. What do I call a month anniversary?
  3. How to use licence and license in Canada
  4. Difference between humorous and humourous
  5. There are only 3 times you should capitalize a word
  6. Difference between humility and humbleness
  7. Difference between residence and residents
  8. Is noon 12:00 a.m. or 12:00 p.m.?
  9. Is “wife” capitalized?
  10. How to use practice and practise in Canada

Come to think of it, only one blog post from 2013 still is on the list. And it’s still in the number one spot for grammar posts.

Bonus blog post! It’s not technically about grammar, but it was the singlemost visited blog post on the site:
