Difference between right and write

This is part of the difference between series.

I’ve heard some people confusing the words right and write. Here’s the difference between the two.

Right

Right has several definitions. As a noun, it can refer to moral entitlement or that which is morally just.

As an adjective, it refers to being correct or morally good.

As a verb, right refers to restoring something to its regulr position.

Write

Write, on the other hand, refers to the process of marking a surface with a pen, pencil, or similar implement.

Bonus: Another word that sounds like right and write is wright, which refers to someone who builds or creates. For example, a shipwright is someone who builds ships, a playwright is someone who creates plays, and a wheelwright is someone who builds wheels.
