About This Site
The Word of Wisdom Commentary website was formed in February of 2001 as a personal project of Kim Siever. He felt that the Word of Wisdom was the least understood, the most controversial and the most speculative doctrine among members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In hopes that understanding of the revelation could be had among all Latter-day Saints, Kim designed a website based on authoritative (where possible) statements from general church leaders.
It began as simply a resource with definitive answers to common questions and misunderstandings. However, Kim anticipates that the site will grow to be a much more dynamic, interactive site where visitors can discuss this unique revelation with each other. He also hopes it can be a springboard for visitors to use as they further their study on the Word of Wisdom.
