My 10 most popular grammar posts of 2019

About 6 years ago, I made a list of my 10 most popular grammar posts. I’ve written hundreds more posts since then, a few of which have displaced some of the older ones. It made sense to update the list.

So here is the 2019 version of my 10 most popular grammar posts. The list is based on the most visited blog posts for the entire year.

  1. What do I call a month anniversary? (15,587 views)
  2. Difference between sitting and seating (11,880 views)
  3. Difference between humility and humbleness (5,197 views)
  4. Difference between humorous and humourous (4,763 views)
  5. Is it correct to say “happiest birthday”? (4,232 views)
  6. How to use licence and license in Canada (2,986 views)
  7. Happy birthday from Sue and I or Sue and me? (2,835 views)
  8. Is noon 12:00 a.m. or 12:00 p.m.? (2,764 views)
  9. There are only 3 times you should capitalize a word (2,403 views)
  10. Difference between residence and residents (2,402 views)

Come to think of it, only one blog post from 2013 is still on the list. And it’s in the number two spot for grammar posts.

Bonus blog posts! It’s not technically about grammar, but it was the 3rd most visited blog post on the site, with over 11,000 views:

As well, my 7th most popular post overall (with nearly 4,000 views) also isn’t a grammar post; it’s a social media post:
